Featured Musician: Tommy Bays
Good morning, today's feature is musician Tommy Bays! Tommy is insanely talented, and tends to frequent the poetry scene, he's put several poems to music and regularly plays with US National Lifetime Beat Poet Laureate Ron Whitehead and his band, Ron Whitehead & The Storm Generation.
He often does covers, and has some incredible originals, though his originals are largely on Facebook, you can check out Better Way and Addicted To You below. I do strongly encourage you to check out the music on Facebook, my personal favorite that I've heard is A Cold October Minuet, but every single one is great.
Tommy does some of my favorite covers, and in my personal opinion has the best cover of both Hallelujah and Look On Down From The Bridge, I had actually heard very few covers of what is one of my favorite songs (as is, if I’m honest, Hallelujah) and I absolutely adore this version. Below, are some amazing covers.
Below, is a video of Hallelujah and Sail On; with Ron Whitehead & The Storm Generation Band, performing at The Last Insomniacathon.
